Panthers' Booth Suffers Another Hit To The Head
David Booth's latest blow to the head appears to have been less damaging than the devastating, and rule-changing, blindside hit he was dealt by Philadelphia's Mike Richards earlier this season.
Booth was to spend Thursday night in a Montreal hospital for precautionary reasons after he left Florida's 4-1 loss to the Canadiens when he was flattened by Jaroslav Spacek's shoulder check to the head early in the second period.
"He's coherent, he's alert -- the tests have come back negative, in a positive sense, so to speak," said Panthers GM Randy Sexton, who expects that Booth will be able to travel with the team to Ottawa on Friday.

The 39-year-old Selanne is the fourth player to reach the milestone in the last four seasons, along with Jagr, Brendan Shanahan, and Joe Sakic.

Revenge-Minded Bruins Lose To Penguins
Marc-Andre Fleury made 17 saves for Pittsburgh's first shutout of the season and the Penguins won 3-0 as the Bruins got little spark from their retaliation against Matt Cooke less than 2 minutes into the game Thursday night.
Shawn Thornton squared off with Cooke 5 seconds after the Penguin came on for his first shift. The anticipation of a fight had built since March 7, when Bruins center Marc Savard was sidelined indefinitely after Cooke?s hit caused a Grade 2 concussion in Pittsburgh.
Campbell's Season May Be Over
Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell's season could be over due to a broken clavicle and ribs suffered in Sunday's loss to the Capitals, according to league sources.
Campbell was checked by Alex Ovechkin into the end boards behind the Hawks' goal with 7:44 remaining in the first period. Campbell remained on the ice for several minutes as trainers attended to him before leaving.
Ovechkin was given a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct. The Capitals won the game 4-3 in overtime, as reported by ESPN.com.

Anaheim?s 4-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night salvaged a shred of dignity for the Ducks, who avoided getting swept by their Pacific Division rivals in a six-game season series for the third time.

Pronger's Goal Pushes Flyers Past Hawks
Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger scored with 2.1 seconds left to give Philadelphia a win over Chicago.
"That was huge," Pronger said.
"We didn't want to make this go into overtime or a shootout. [Scott] Hartnell made a great play to drive the middle to free me up. I think [Giroux] saw when I was crossing the blue line that I was going wide, and was trying to get it somewhere near where I can whack it toward the net. He made a great pass that landed flat and I was able to get it over. I just knew the time was clicking down pretty quick. We have to continue to play with that type of desperation."
